It's 11th of July! Chocolate-Carpark is officially One Year old today! Though there might not be frequent updates now (exams in progress), but I'm glad to see myself through this one year of creativity! It's great to unleash some brain juices when I need to, and please do continue to support the shop!

So, here's a BIG THANK YOU! to everyone who has visited my blogshop and/or has bought items from me! I hope to come up with better, fancier ideas for creations soon!

Australia was really fun with the cold winter weather and lots of good food! Did make me crave Asian again, however (: Here are some pictures of the place there :D

Hi everyone!

Well it's been some time! I hope you find the new layout pleasant and easy to navigate because lots of time was spent doing this up with loads of help, kudos to Bryan! :D It's lovely to have such a friend to help out! Thank you!

I was drawn to the colour of the blog because it reminds me of yummy sticky chewy brown chocolate! My sweet tooth must be acting up again. Other than that, this layout has a pretty simple look with clean cut lines and everything.

I'm starting school again now, so it may be some time before I get down to posting new updates for the shop! But fret not! I still work according to moments when I get inspiration, which often strikes me when I least expect it!

Till then, I'm still making it open for customisations or personal requests! Mother's Day is coming and you might just wanna get something special for her, yes? ((((:

Well I haven't gotten round to fixing my website yet but I'm may do a makeover once I find the time! :D It's possibly my busiest period ever now with work, so much that it limits my time to even look at my jewellery-making tools and materials. Or rather, I need inspiration to strike again.

I've just attended a play at Raffles Hotel - Don't forget to remember me. Speaking of which, the hotel is wonderful! I really dig the architecture with the tall white pillars, giant wooden window panels and just the overall look that's put together to match. It was declared a national monument in 1987, according to the website. Old buildings interest me. I might spend time thinking about what such buildings were like in the past, their purpose, the people that entered and exited, etc.

I always thought that if I wasn't in my current occupation now I might become someone more inclined in the arts, maybe something to do with fashion, history, culture, or travel? Possibilities are endless!


The play I watched also provoked thoughts in me regarding Dementia. It's not normal ageing. And it's really good that we are trying to spread the message to the public through different mediums, one of which being art. It's a refreshing way of reaching out to the masses which can be enjoyable at the same time. There was a dialogue or mini-conference after the play during which members of the audience spoke up about their experiences and thoughts regarding the disease itself and the play.

I would like to share an interesting website I came across by Ethan Hayes-Chute. I haven't really explored it fully yet but the models and landscapes do show how much imagination one can have. Well if I were that good with my hands and if I had materials or ways and means think about what one can do! :D





I used to make landscapes out of recycled materials and stuff after watching some art show on TV; that was an experience with lots of work. It's the satisfaction I get and the fun I draw from the process of making something with my hands!


Alrights now, have to get on with my work. Wish me luck in finding inspiration!

Hello!

I'm back from my mind-blowing, fabulous, heartrocking holiday in Vietnam! It was plenty of mountain air, sea views and different modes of transport we had to take! What wouldn't I do to travel again!

My uncle's girlfriend came over earlier and yay! I do appreciate comments about my products. This gives me the motivation to work even harder!

Seems like there's a slight viewing issue with the website. I hope to get it fixed soon! I'm starting my attachment tomorrow, so might be busy for awhile! :D Meanwhile, will still reply emails and comments!

G'day!

Fresh with new pairs of earrings and a bracelet! Do check out the respective links for more details! My newest collection has loads of the basic elements: air, earth and water! Maybe I'll come up with something fiery soon! Hahah!

I do like my new creations because they're a touch different from what I usually do; but that's the fun in exploring different ways of creating! I hope to get down to making more accessories about my bout of busy period!

It's February!

It's been so fast since 2009 came upon us. Just a little bit of work everyday, some daydreaming and whoosh! goes January!

Updated are two brand-new necklaces! Both took me alot of work and effort especially for the design and manufacture. They are very very limited in quantity because I want to keep them special and not to mention the amount of work that went into them! Get a peek of them above! See 'Necklaces' for the details! I also hope to get more stuff churned out pretty soon, though I might have my limitations due to it being the examination period!

I was reflecting the other day (which is what I always do) and I realized keeping such a passion isn't that easy. Besides the products, there's the time and effort to count for too. But I'm glad I have had such an opportunity to start my dream and realize it, and not to keep it hidden. Creating works brings unspeakable joy, especially when I am able to create for people I love and others who appreciate.

So thank you to you out there! And I hope, that my hands will work their very best!

Helloooo everyone!

Here's the first update for the New Year! I'm proud to announce a new addition to the Chocolate-Carpark family - the RINGS section! Well I think that rings can be harder to make especially since they're smaller and it's a challenge to make something pretty on one's finger altogether.

Also added in are new necklaces and earrings!

I'll be taking a short break from 24th - 27th Jan for the CNY festival. Yay for CNY! I look forward to meeting my relatives and having a great reunion dinner! Even after the fabulously long weekend, I've still got a humongous pile of work to tackle. Onward!

So I just thought it would be interesting, considering the amount of support this event has in order to bring awareness about HIV and AIDS, and 'embracing the truth and facts'. So it's more than that too, it's about real love this time round.

Well it's almost halfway into November and I hope you guys are doing well (:

On to add something interesting to this blog today! Let's talk about DRESSES! Well for me I think The Dress is a great invention and the plus point about being a female is that we get to wear different types with different cuttings, styles, embellishments, jewels, trains, colours, forms etc! Speaking of which, there's the toga, bustier, low-v, flare and frilly, halter, lace, empire cut, kimono-style, spaghetti and lots more! Whatever it is, dresses are great for many occasions and finding a dress that screams 'ME!' feels really really good!

Now this is rather striking; the colours do stand out against each other. It's also a rather flattering cut and Eva's hair looks great!

My favourite! A beautiful black beaded long wedding dress. Formal, elegant yet feminine at the same time! And look at that hair!!

A very clean-cut dress that shows off a wonderful body shape, emphasizing on all the right points!

I realized so far I've been posting wedding/formal dresses. But I've always been fascinated by them. Fascinated by how designers can muster so much creativity to fashion different pieces that are attractive and versatile.
